Mount Tai earthquake

Mount Tai earthquake (泰山震) is the first earthquake recorded in history. It occurred at Mount Tai during the 7th year of reign of King Fa from Xia dynasty circa 2205 and 1600 BCE.[1] It was mentioned briefly in the Bamboo Annals.[2] The event has been dated to 1831 BCE.[3] After Fa, would come the rule of Jie, who is known as one of the most irresponsible kings. His reign led to the complete collapse of the Xia dynasty.[4]
